Prioritizing Stakeholder Needs
The PFX Steering Committee and Advisory Panel held a workshop at the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa to outline and discuss the key knowledge and technology needs for fire management in the Pacific Islands. The PFX Knowledge Themes emerged by aligning our regional fire issues with JFSP goals and the National Cohesive Strategy for Wildland Fire Management.
In 2014, The PFX Knowledge Themes and each of their subtopics were prioritized by PFX stakeholders - members of the fire response, land management, outreach and research communities.
