Best practices for survivability and field observations

Known across the urban landscaping, and seems to persist with little care. One noted that the tree tends to be messy with large pods, unless it is a sterile cultivar (another recommends  the beanless hybrid varieties). One observed that a neighbor’s tree noticeably singed 50 ft. or so from flames, but is slowly recovering.

Availability and propagation

Available from commercial nurseries and commonly grown from seeds. Several noted that propagating from seeds can be slow and that grafts are better (both methods can be used to grow specific colors). Ornamental ones that do not set seed are often airlayers (due to seedling variation).
